Ciano Siewert

Ciano Siewert (Rotterdam, 1942) is een Nederlandse schilder. Opgeleid aan de Akademie in Rotterdam, ontwikkelde hij een onmiskenbare stijl die het Hollandse landschap vastlegt in al zijn nuchterheid en schoonheid. Zijn werk bestaat uit dijken, molens, bruggen, havens en stadsgezichten.

Jarenlang werkte Ciano Siewert voornamelijk in aquarel en pen. Sinds 2002 werkt hij uitsluitend in olieverf. Met periodes in New York als inspiratiebron naast zijn Rotterdamse roots. Zijn werk is onder andere geveild bij Christie’s Amsterdam en is opgenomen in het RKD (Nederlands Instituut voor Kunstgeschiedenis).
